Product Overview

With rapid urban development, buildings are increasing continuously, flammable materials are widely applied, and insufficient public fire prevention awareness greatly raises fire risks. Although every building is equipped with fire extinguishing systems, practical experience proves that the success of fire fighting mainly depends on whether fire water supply equipment works normally. As a key component of water-based fire suppression systems, fire pumps usually stay idle for a long time and must operate perfectly once an emergency occurs. Due to long-term standby and humid environment inside pump rooms, corrosion or seizure may easily occur on pump shafts and impellers, and electrical components may malfunction accordingly. In case of fire, the fire pumps may fail to start normally, resulting in fire spreading and threatening people’s lives and property safety.


To solve the above fire protection problems, our company independently developed an intelligent fire pump inspection cabinet integrating alarm, monitoring, control and management functions, which has been mass-produced and put into application. This product prevents fire pump faults such as rusting, damp damage and abnormal operation, realizing effective standby maintenance for emergency use. The device also supports automatic switching between main pump and standby pump (the standby pump will start automatically upon main pump failure), as well as automatic switching between main power supply and standby power supply (the standby power supply will be switched on when the main power fails). It supports remote data transmission, video monitoring, fault alarming, information printing and other functions for all above operations. The product complies with the mandatory industrial standard GA30.2 issued by the Ministry of Public Security and national standard GB16086, and has obtained national mandatory CCCF certification.


Product Features

1. Equipped with variable frequency drive for pump inspection; it features low starting current and low pump rotating speed with slight mechanical impact on pumps, extending the service life of fire pumps, especially significant for high-power pumps.


2. Low driving power for variable-frequency inspection with high energy efficiency, with power consumption only about 1.35% of power-frequency inspection mode, greatly saving electric energy.

3. The fire pump inspection cabinet performs automatic inspection at preset cycles without manual operation. Multiple communication interfaces are reserved to realize remote fire monitoring for real-time status viewing and convenient management of fire pump sets.

4. Adopts large-size Chinese LCD touch screen as human-machine interface for intuitive and easy operation.

5. Equipped with Siemens PLC as CPU for stable, safe and reliable performance.

6. Supports fault alarm, power-off data storage and fault record storage, capable of storing up to 8000 fault records for convenient maintenance and fault analysis by technicians.

7. Once a fire signal is received during inspection, the system immediately exits inspection mode and starts hydrant pumps and sprinkler pumps instantly.

8. Complete interface configuration allows networking with company monitoring centers or public security fire department computers for 24/7 real-time monitoring, realizing remote computer control and comprehensive network centralized management to strengthen safety supervision.

9. Convenient wiring design, compatible with control cabinets manufactured by any switchgear factory.


Scope Of Application

This system is applicable to residential communities, production bases, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, schools, warehouses, hospitals, military camps and other premises. It is also suitable for renovation of old fire protection projects to reasonably utilize existing fire infrastructure and reduce customers’ investment costs.

Appendix: Provisions on Inspection Function in Clause 5.4 of GA30.2 :

Equipment with long-term idle fire pumps shall be equipped with inspection function meeting the following requirements:

1. Support automatic and manual inspection modes, and the automatic inspection cycle can be set as required.

2. Fire pumps shall run one by one in fire operation mode, with single pump operation duration no less than 2 minutes.

3. The equipment shall automatically exit inspection mode and switch to fire operation state immediately once a fire signal is received during inspection.

4. Audible and visual alarm shall be triggered if faults are detected during inspection. Equipment with fault memory function shall record at least 5 pieces of information including fault type and occurrence time with clear display.

5. Equipment adopting power-frequency inspection shall be equipped with overpressure prevention measures; for units with inspection pressure relief loop, the loop shall be safely and reliably configured.

6. For equipment regulating water supply pressure via electric valves, the electric valves shall be included in inspection objects.

Provisions in Part 5 of GB27898-2011

1. The equipment shall support manual inspection and inspection reminder functions; the reminder cycle is adjustable and shall not exceed 360 hours at maximum.

2. Inspection operation procedures shall be simple and specified in the Operation Manual.

3. Fire pumps shall be started and operated one by one during inspection, and each pump shall run under rated working conditions for no less than 2 minutes.

4. Audible and visual alarm shall be activated once faults occur during inspection.
